10 darling puppies! All 10 puppies made a trip to Washington (just over the border near Portland-Vancouver) for a structural evaluation by Pat Hastings of the Puppy Puzzle. 500 miles, 8 hours of driving each way, with potty & water stops every 2 hours. They were awesome travellers! We stayed two nights with a friend and fellow breeder, Cindy Mayfield of Tagalong Kennels. The puppies got to meet their great-grandmother, Sunny, who produced Cindi, who produced Cassie, the mother of this litter. These pictures (thanks Jamie!) are from our trip. What can I say - they are all adorable! Thank you so much to Larry & Margo for helping with the photo shoot! It is a very busy time for the puppies! They are now living in the shop where they have a 10' x 20' indoor kennel with a doggie door out to a large fenced yard. They are eating kibble, drinking from a water bowl, and spending less and less time with Mom. They have lots of toys and different beds in their space to explore and play with. They have their wading pool, a Kuranda bed, a bale of hay, and a large crate with the door removed. It has been raining and raining and cold, so they haven't been playing outside all that much. They are a very clever bunch that has already learned to go outside to go poo about 90% of the time. There are shavings on the floor inside to absorb the indoor piddles, and soon they will be doing that business outside too. They learn this from the adult dogs. They have spent time with several of the adult dogs now, and are learning doggie etiquette, and to repsect their elders! They have been with Max, Sweetie, Flash, Cindi, and Sassy. They get very excited when people come to see them, and they have had lots of visitors. They come running when you call "puppy, puppy" and they have incredible skill at untying shoelaces:-) This is Cassie's first litter, and she is a fabulous first time Mom.

Fiesta is a blue merle male. He is a great big love mop who will just flop back in your arms and let you hold him forever.
